My 3rd Trip To Abudwak.

Early in the morning, before sunrise, I took my bag and started my 3rd trip to Abudwak. During my trip I went through many villages and met with nomads at teir homes with hope and peace.

Captured this photo early in the morning in rural area.

Traces of rain are still visible, livestock such as camels, goats and sheep are grazing, peace is so significant for rural residents in this prosperous spring season or even in times of droughts.

During the trip, I made several stoppages in the rural areas for few minutes to have a leisure for the spring winds and the beautiful different flowers beside the street before I continued the journey.

After an hour, I safely arrived to Abudwak town and had a rest to a hotel room near the police station that is owned by a female MP in Galmudug parliament.
After resting, In the afternoon, when weather was wonderful and the people are having a coffee together, I went in to Abudwak market. The community was busy attending to their businesses, there’s a lot of business going on in and it is a city with a huge population.

In the last decades, huge conflicts have affected this district, the integration of youth and women has been very poor in the last years, but know Abudwak make rehabilitating and recover from the conflicts and civil wars.
Abudwak located in the border between Ethiopia and Somalia. Galmudug state of Somali can benefit this district if the residents of Abduwak develop their business and the infrastructure of the district.

Youth, women and people with disabilities are out of local authority of the district and they need engaging their participation in local authority. If residents of Abudwak ensure the role of youth, women and people with special needs they can contribute the development of the district.

On the other hand, the social services like health and education are in good progress. Education in this old district is at a good level, women and other who miss a chance of education are now enrolling in schools and Somali National University — SNU branch in Galmudug.

Early in the morning I left a hotel and went outside to get beautiful atmosphere. I saw young students in a school bus, a few minutes later I saw a students going to Somali National University — SNU to study. I got knew that 88% of residents in Abudwak understood the life and the path to peace and development.
Faculties of Somali National University — SNU in Galmudug are more and include:-

1- Faculty of Education
2- Faculty of Economic
3- Faculty of Public health
4- Faculty of Sharia law

The rate of enrolment in SNU in Galmudug is a good level and the future of Somali National University — SNU will be brighter than the situation it is now, if the other Galmudug students form the other districts come there to study.

Youth, women and elders warmly welcomed me in the district, there was a statement says “Cabudwaaq ma anaa ka dhigey cadanta loo dhoofo”, it’s a growing city that ready to be a business area.

2018, it was my first time I came this district, the district made a progress in many sides include:
1- Basic and higher education
2- Business and development
3- Peace and integration.

A day, I met one of the elders of the district at Dabacasar restaurant where I was doing something, he came to me and said “kusoo dhawoow magaalada, magaaladaada waaye” and other great and wisdom words.

This photo captured me Sadik Anod at Dabacasar Restaurant and Cafeteria.

Most people are saying welcome to “magaalada gabdhaha cas-cas”, although they have not taught me any of these girls.😁

The residents of Abudwak are facing a number of challenges include unwillingness formation of local councils, increased rates of unemployment and the clan conflicts that are recurring in every two or three years also the population of Abudwak have an opportunity to be a business people and can make their district a business area that Galmudug state and other states can benefit since the district is located in the border.

Hope to hear Abudwak leading in prosperity, development, sustainable peace and integration.
